I'm moving to Arizona!

I'm moving to Chandler, AZ next week! Who's around? Going to need to meet new people when I get there, since I will have zero friends there.

Ouch! Why Arizona? Work? At least no more salt or snow to ruin the Charger :)

Wanted a life change. My best friend took a job there, and I decided to go with him. No more snow, no more salt, no more 92% humidity. Sunny days are the norm and we'll have a pool and hot tub right behind our apartment. I haven't landed a job yet, but I don't see how I wouldn't be able to find one.

The next time I go out to Utah, will meet up maybe !  It's definitely a different way of life out there. Just looked at Accuweather - 106, feels like 112. But as they say, it's a dry heat !

Good for you to make a big life change when the opportunity presents itself.  I did the reverse - from No. California to PA.

I'm in Phoenix about twice a year. I'll hit you up next time we go.

The Arizona dry heat is so much more tolerable than the humidity here in south / central Texas. Yeah it's 110 in Phoenix but only 102 in Austin. But the heat index is 105 with no humidity while its 115 in Austin. Miserable.

Used to live in Phoenix, worked in Chandler. Lots of fun things to do there, I miss it... Good luck.

PS: Snowbowl Mountain has show in winter if you feel homesick.

While it's been a while that I've been on here....I do know of a guy who lives in Montezuma, Arizona (kinda close) who is on TCCA (I think)...I don't know if he still has his Taurus, but he has a 1st gen. I live in Riverside, California (a little far away, LOL), I have a 4th gen SEL 24V. Not much goes on in the Southwest area. In SoCal, you are kinda lucky to see a well taken care of Taurus, or even an American car...most cars here are foreign. Don't know if its the same in Arizona though...

Forgot to add...

Congratulation on the move! Although not close by.... a great area and little town to go to is Flagstaff. If you do go up, you have to go to Sedona, then take Route 89A up to Flagstaff. The road is fun, beautiful and awesome!
