Parts Store called saying my IAC was in, I go to pick it up and the CEL is on. I get home, pop the hood, grab an 8MM socket and extension and swap the old with the new!

Had recall done too on the 2000 recently.

I asked for the clip - they wouldn't let me install it, I had to hand the keys over.  Grr...

I see you put the screw drives down in random holes. I did the same thing on my 2000 lol!

My mercury logo was dented too. I have no clue how the hell someone managed to do that. My grandpa must have pressed really ******* the horn lol.

I got pissed at some stupid. ... well anyways, I punched a dent into mine. Is that hard to change? I'd love to change mine, but was sort of under the impression you had to change the whole wheel due to the airbag.

Not that hard, you just need to get the steering wheel off and replace the emblem. IIRC there are 4 10mm nuts that hold the wheel to the clockspring, you need to be REALLY CAREFUL about getting the wheel off though you are messing around with an airbag in there.

The original factory gasket should be a reusable rubber one, doesn't mean the pan has never been dropped.
