steveg1988 40
Really? The Eclipse was never sold in Japan? Well hell... Never would have guessed that... Vehicle was designed for the US market, based upon the galant. The reason i picked it..other than it is kind of cool... 23 mpg city, 31 highway, despite having about the same power as my 3.0L V6
DuraBull 45
Not bad. I like the looks of them. Plenty of various bolt on/easy mods too!
breeves002 182
They didn't have a turbo model for the third gen eclipse. Just a 2.4 or 3.0v6. Wouldn't say it has the same power output as the vulcan... about 150hp/160ft-lb. Vulcan is 155/200. Duratec is 200/200. Still not bad for a 4 banger. Think about it... more cylinders = more torque! three50one 51
4g64 can be a stout motor with boost as well. Not telling you to do it or anything.... (Do it)

Vulcan is 155HP/186 LbFt, similar power levels out of a smaller engine for the 2.
Angrod 280
Vulcan is 155HP/186 LbFt, similar power levels out of a smaller engine for the 2.4 Those numbers are for gen 3 and early gen 4 vulcans. The numbers went up in 2004 when Ford changed the intake and programming.
Radioflyer 53
Vehicle was designed for the US market, based upon the galant. The reason i picked it..other than it is kind of cool... 23 mpg city, 31 highway, despite having about the same power as my 3.0L V6 I once had an '89 Honda Prelude Si with the 2.0L, 4WS with an auto trans. Yeah it was quick and nimble as heck in the city, but out on the highway I really missed the longer legs of the Taurus. But I'm not sure you'll run into that same issue with a 5 speed. Bull Geek 812
You can't spell disappointment with out DSM (Diamond Star Motors). Those cars are huge toilets. Good luck with it.

three50one 51
Majority of folks will say DSMs were 89-99. The unreliable ones were the 4g63 or anything else that had the moniker VR4 tacked on. People didn't maintain them and they had a undeserving stereotype. His will be just fine. steveg1988 40
The 4g64 does not have crank issues
three50one 51
Only a handful of 4g63s had that issue and it was resolved with new bearings.

breeves002 182
+1 with Devin. I'm just not a big fan of any rice cars. Even a stock civic I hate. Civic SI even more. Burning rice is just nasty!

steveg1988 40
Thing is..this one is 100% stock, all factory components still. Now, that also means that this car has the balance i wanted, a bit of sportyness and performance, yet decent mpg
