Fiance was driving to work and got hit. Kid ran a stop sign and told the officer he was late for work. Also told the officer he stopped. You can't spin a car around from a dead stop.

Sitting in the ER getting her checked out now.

6 years and over 100k miles of faithful service. I could cry and probably will. I've had that car since I was 18.

I could fix it with junkyard parts and a welder but I don't know.

If it isn't totaled it is a non issue. I haven't thought about getting selling or or anything of the sort, but if she's totaled I don't exactly have the time to fix it as of late. This is proven by my Thunderbird and Merkur.

Now that I've seen the inside of my rockers I'm pleases to see no rust though.

See if you can buy it back if she is totaled, probably is unfortunately. Hey, the tire wasn't punctured! So many bulls dying this year!!

My uncle is interested in it if I can buy it back. It most likely is totaled. If it is totaled I'll buy it back and sell it to him. He has a duratec and not sure what he plans on doing with it.

Sorry to hear about the car man. YOu've been posting for awhile on the Taurus websites. Always liked the Toreador Red 3rd Gen SHOs. Good color on the body. At least the misses is alright.

I've already put serious thought into buying an escort wagon and putting the motor in the back. She said no.

Cars can be replaced. People cannot. Sucks though to see a car get damaged :(

Seriously though, another one?? :(

*checks for anyone outside, getting too close to Taurus or Sable*

On the Bright side Brian, if Anything happens to one Ford product, you have a backup ;)

Damn dude. Real happy your fiance is fine. One thing I love about these bulls is that they're built like tanks.

I feel like an ass - forgot to say: I am also very glad your fiancé is OKAY! Check out just fine at the hospital? Congrats on getting married by the way :D

+a bazillion on cars can be replaced and people cannot. So many people die every year in car accidents, but every year that number goes down! Yay car manufacturers! Although without the government we would still be driving metal deathboxes lol because car companies are cheappppp.

Just look at videos from the 70's... cars just CRUMPLE.

She pulled a muscle in hee back from the impact. Just the same beautifully whiney woman I fell in love with aside from that.

Still mad she said no to a mid engine rear drive escort wagon.

Glad she's alright man. Wrecks are a terrifying experience, she'll definitely be more scared of stop signs now.

Sorry about your car man. If it were totaled, I would buy a used red gen3 and do a transplant. That powertrain is just such a shame to lose. :(

Glad she's safe. Not uncommon to hurt worse on the second day and even worse on the third.

(I hear chocolate can help a lot  )

Just a thought. Judging by where the car is most damaged, might it not be an excellent candidate for a little sheet metal rearranging? Go through this thread. Maybe this old bull is the right man for the job.

It would take magic to make a 2 door Taurus look good. A 1st or 2nd Gen I could see.

Talks of replacements have begun with me suggesting a different fwd v8 or a supercharged v6. She goes on the Nissan front. I just don't like Nissan's and she has a thing for them. Then the SUV barrage began and I locked up. I feel as though nothing will get done and buying MY replacement and her dealing with it will be the best route.

"Kid ran a stop sign and told the officer he was late for work" ... As if that will excuse what he's done.

I'm glad your fiancee is not seriously injured. Condolences on losing your car.

Co-worker just got rear-ended by a guy who was looking for a song on his playlist. His car is totalled and the other guy is uninsured. Parking lot at shopping center yesterday was mayhem. Twice I almost got hit by people too busy with other stuff to pay attention.

People just don't get it, do they? When you're in a car, your job is to pay attention to driving and the roads and traffic around you.

Get yourself a gen 4 sedan, duratec if possible. it would be a decent replacement for the v8 bull, and would keep you in the taurus family.
