Need Aux Input Hel

Recommended Posts

I did the aux input on my chestnut ses.

I have the SEL with the Mach audio and six cd changer in the console.

What's the easiest way to get an ipod input working ?

Do you do the same as I did on the other and cut the CD player out and plug the harness in back at the RCU in the trunk?

What parts do I need.

Thanks

Mike

:dunno:

Uhm.. A little confused by your question. I think you want to get a Pie X3 I think it's called? It plugs into you cd changer slot on the RCU and allows for 3 different inputs that you can select which one by control.

If you want to retain the CD changer for use, you can do what I did.

Otherwise....you can plug the CD changer in the trunk (if you don't want it) and hook up a PIE FDRW (or is it FRDW??) I forget, but it plugs into the RCU CD changer port. Then just run an RCA cable up front or whatever to use for Aux Input. Gimmie a call if you want man...

I am so wrapped up in modding my Tundra, I have forgot about taurus.

The boy never uses the CD changer. I want to get out of this as cheap as possible.

I did it on my car but I lost the infor when my HD crashed.

Thanks guys.

Mike, if you want to go super cheap, you can wire an input to the signal wires in the tape deck for next to nothing. It will disable the tape deck though

Ya, I forgot about this...good point!

I use one of those "cassette adapter" things that just go into your tape deck and have a wire that comes out for the mp3 input. Works fine for me and no wiring necessary.
