1996-1999 Sho Sized Tires

Recommended Posts

If anyone here has good tires for that SHO, in the NJ/PA/NY/DE region (like an hour or less from philly) i would be willing to buy them off you, to upgrade my 2003.

I am willing to work with you, perhaps do a JY run if required.

Do you want tires for a Gen3 SHO, or for your Gen4 Sable ???

Gen3 SHo uses a smaller sidewall tire on the 16 inch rims.

Gen4 Sable uses the larger sidewall 16.

I had a set of Gen3 sizd tires on the wagon for like 2 days and changed them out, just didnt look right to me.

I want the wider Gen 3 SHO tire for my Gen 4 Sable.

Wider tire=better grip.

Then you may want to look for 225/60/16 size tire. Wider, without losing sidewall height. Had them on Marilyn for a while. Looked great, handled well, and no rubbing.

Ah, i was thinking of going lower profile too, since that means less sidewall flex for the car.

The stock rims are 6.0 wide and the SHO rims are only 6.5 wide. You can put the 225/60x16's on either rim. If you want to go with a shorter sidewall, you should consider a larger dia rim, 17 or 18x6.5.

The 96 SHO rims I bought had 205's on them. Like running on rubberbands.

Yeah man! I've been thinking of trying some 225's on the SHO, but wonder how well they would fit, as the slicers are all I have
