Recommend A Tranny Cooler?

Recommended Posts

Can someone recommend a transmission cooler for my car? Are they all the same?

I have a 2001 Sable LS Premium. I have the 24V Dohc Duratec.

Is this something I can do myself (I can change oil, tires, etc, but nothing too complicated - lol)?

Thanks! I feel like all I do is add things to do to this car to my list. I love this car. I would never have imagined polishing headlights on any other car before. lol

B&M 70268 SuperCooler Automatic Transmission Cooler, Amazon had the best price when I bought mine last summer.

I agree with getting the B&M. Any stacked plate cooler would work actually. You should be able to install it yourself.

Shouldn't be an issue. Your trans is going to generate so much heat that it won't freeze.

Please do your tranny a favor and bypass the stock radiator cooler and all the stock lines. Put some 3/8in barbs in the transmission and run all new lines.
