Mach Audio - 2005 Taurus SEL

Thanks for the reply Angrod, do you have anymore information on this? I am wondering if it only affects certain years of the Mach RCU. I’ve been unable to find others having the same problem. This is honestly the first time I’ve even heard of this issue. It’s a bit disappointing that they wouldn’t have fixed this. Thanks again for the information!
  2. So I finally upgraded my audio in my 2005 Taurus SEL to Mach Audio (Mach Tweeters and Mach RCU). All the wires were there just waiting to be used and what a huge difference it made! However, I have noticed that at times the Audio seems quiet compared to what it was prior to me turning the car off. If I turn the Radio off and then back on it seems to be louder. I know I have a speaker that needs to be replaced, but would that impact all the speakers? Is this an indicator that I have a bad/failing RCU? I appreciate the help. Thanks!
  3. I have been meaning to attempt this for some time, though I'd like some clarification on this walkthrough. My sunload sensor plug wires look just like the image below (wire colors and layout). If I rotate my Sunload sensor plug exactly as the picture has it, the stamp on the plug shows the Brown wire as Number 1 and the Blank slot to the right of the Black/Yellow wire is number 6. I have a 2005 Taurus SEL with Manual HVAC. The documentation given above says: Then in the actual detailed walkthrough it states: Can someone please clarify whether pin 2 the Black/Yellow wire or is it the Pink/Violet wire? (The 2 quotes above have the same pin going to two different spots) If someone would have pictures of the completed project of the sunload sensor and the SJB that would be great! Please let me know which of the above quotes I should follow. Thanks!
