  1. This morning I was driving my 11yo grandson to school because he missed the bus. He told me he liked my car because it was like me. I asked what he meant by that and he said: "Well, it's a grandma car, but that's ok because you're a grandma. But it's cool too, just like you because it's a cool color and it hauls ass" He got a lunchbox treat outta that, lol
  2. Ok I will tomorrow, thanks Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  3. The parts on the compressor are spinning with Max ac on, not just the belt
  4. So then it's the switch?
  5. Oh Ok, I see what you mean, lol. I'll go out and look at it
  6. I imagine it was, it was at least 100 degrees out and the car was nice and cool
  7. A couple months ago when it was real hot I was running the AC on the Max AC settings. I stopped to pick up a friend, started the car up again and the blower wasn't working on the Max AC setting, but it works fine on the regular AC and it also works fine when I run the heater. I have been googling around, but haven't found the answer. So I need to know if this is something minor that I can fix myself, or is it indicative of a bigger problem that I'll need help with? Car is the 96 Sable. The HVAC control is manual. Thanks in advance for any advise.
  8. Oh I know it's not Rose Mist, It's not that bright. It's that Grey Violet color inside and out. It's hard to keep the dirt out as I live at the end of a dirt road. She was pretty clean when I got her. Anyway, thanks again for the help, now I know what color It is.
  9. I suppose, but mine looks purple in any light, lol.
  10. That's OK. I was confused anyway as the car is purple with a purple interior and graphite just didn't seem to fit. Oh well, the paint code doesn't lie. Thanks again!
  11. I'm not so sure on that color Josh. It doesn't seem right to me. I could be wrong, of course. I took a pic of the plate on the driver side door. So what color is it?
  12. A car bra, hmmm now there's an idea. She's a girl names Pearl, so appropriate, I think, hehe
  13. God, me too! They weren't even looking at that part, were thinking it had something to do with the security system. After I told them what you guys said and bought the part, I jollied them into putting it on. And what do you know, it worked. Thanks again for all the help, it would still be sitting there otherwise.
  14. Now that the car is up and running again, I'd like to pretty her up some. She's a 96 Sable. Not sure on the paint color. The best I can describe it is a purplish grey. Anyway, the car is really clean inside and out. She's spent most of her life in Arizona, so she don't have a speck of rust on her. There's just a bit of peeling paint on the front bumper area and one vertical ding. Any advise on fixing this would be appreciated, thanks! I just realized that I put this in the wrong board, sorry
