    I was bored and had some time so I watched a mechanic assemble an ax4s trans for a gen4 Bull. Not really a job for the amature mechanic.

      Ok I'll ship you the parts, my ax4s is showing signs of end of life. No slipping yet but slowing shifting, and I have to go to neutral at stop lights sometimes.

      On a side note, I have been passing a black thunderbird sc around the same year as your third. Can't get a pic cause my phone camera bites. Looks like its in good shape.

    Replaced coolant bottle 2 with number 3. Heater core backflush using an adapter hose left over from our new dish washer drain tube, worked perfectly. Cleaned aic just because, checked filters, ok poked around. I found out my no rust arizona car is rusting, oilpan is rusting on backside. The front side looks good but i was wiping the engine bay, and the rag hit the rust ugh. Next oilchange next week looks like i wil be brushing off rust and engine painting the pan. Next week will be fuel filter, oil change, and attention to oilpan rust. Not to bad for a 96 with 122k miles.

    New coolant bottle on, heater core flushed. Cleaned aic, poked around and found out my no rust arizona car is rusting.

    Time for the new coolant tank and heater core and radiator flush. time for oil change as well. Heck I might even wash it and clean out the trash from the interior.

    First Ford for me was my 1985 Mustang. It was blue with black trim and had anniversary edition aluminum wheels. I loved that car, cruzed all over with it, had a kicking stereo in it as well.     My daughter is looking at getting a 2008 Honda civic. She got a new job and has to commute. Did a little research and found 2006 to 2009 civics are having engine block cracking failures. So much for reliability.

    Coolant tank number 2 in 122k miles is distorted and showing hairline cracks. A new tank is on the way and will be put in asap.

      That is sad. My OEM tank was not leaking at all when I replaced it at 130k. The low coolant sensor was busted, thats why I replaced it.

      Mine is/ was the older design which were prone to failure. Not an issue for a TSOC member, we know what to keep an eye on with our cars.

    It takes too long to get where you are going when your car is too low.. Getting stuck on manhole covers and driveway entrances. Having to slam on the brakes for every bump in the road.     Apparently Ford didn't think we would ever replace them, and if we did we would buy a new bar with new bushings installed. More income for them. Honestly I don't like the look of that gap, over time will the bar work itself into the gap and move around?

    Left work at 10 pm, home at 11 pm, its now 12:25, I'll be up at 4:30 to leave by five for work again. Life is good. :-)

    ^ agreed. My bull spent 60k miles in Arizona living in a retirement community with my grandparents. My grandad passed and my grandmom moved home to Pa. She could no longer drive so she sold me the car. It now has 120k miles on it and looking underneath it looks like its 5 years old bearly any rust on anything. Fuel and brake lines are shiney and clean, it's amazing really. The front subframe is showing surface rust, I need new struts, the original struts are on the car!! No spring failure just a tad bouncy over the bumps. I hate the brine crap they put on the roads here, if it wasn't for

    Ahhh I see your bushings look about as good as some of mine. So when you make a turn your engine and front wheels make the turn ahead of the rest of the car. Feels like the front end wanders around a tad when you are going straight. These are all signs that you my friend are driving a Ford Taurus. Feeling connected to the road Is just an unneeded luxury for a Taurus, unless you want to spend a lot of time or money. Infinity cars detect the deceleration of the car in front of the car ahead of you to detect a possible collision. Taurus is just trying to shift gears and stay in its own lane

    Man that sucks. If its just a gasket it might be worth repairing, if it's both sides of engine I'd have to call it a day.

    Haha the factory rep is going to speak. Made me chuckle. I found out our Internet is not blast but the lower performance level so we are getting what we are paying for more or less.

    this is with laptop hardwired to router. I have to check with wife on the plan we have. internet seems much faster on the hardwire.

    I would vote no as well. I had to replace mine once so far, couldn't trust salvage for it, coolant system is too important.
