What Have You Done To Your Bull Lately?
it'sthatcar replied to Devin's topic in Taurus & Sable General Discussion
I'm not sure which site he was talking about, or if it's both, but he mentioned that he peruses one or both online sites once in a while. I guess he has a fleet 2004 Taurus and wasn't planning on buying another car, and then he found mine on Craigslist. I'm just happy I can pay off my student loans now! -

Young couple with a baby. The husband has a Taurus currently and found mine as a replacement. -
What Have You Done To Your Other Vehicle Lately?

My mom's 2003 Explorer with the 4.0L has been the best vehicle we have ever owned. Seriously. Basic maintenance, aside from a new A/C condenser, is all we have done to it. 125-130k or so miles and it still runs great. It's taken our family on most of our vacations and has never let us down. -

I am offering for sale my PIE FRDW-AUX adapter kit. It will will be shipped from Savage, Minnesota (55378) and also available for local pick-up (postage determined by weight, location, and preferred shipping service). The PIE FRDW-AUX is a device that allows you to connect an audio device through the CD changer harness in your applicable FoMoCo vehicle. The device plugs into the CD changer harness as the CD changer itself would, and you turn on the device by switching the audio source on your head unit to CD. The screen will display 1-1 and your adapter is working. Then you play your music on any device you have equipped with a 3.5mm (headphone) jack. This device is NOT made anymore and any you find for sale online will be used or marked up. I even have the original box and instructions. I'm offering mine for $60. For another $5, I'll throw in the Boss ground loop isolator I paired it with to eliminate alternator whine while my music device was charging and playing music at the same time. For an additional $5, I'll add the 3.5mm to L/R input cable I used (I bought it new in July!) which is coated in hard, durable rubber to withstand frequent bending and use in the car and has a narrow plug in order to fit through most phone cases. Please PM me if you are interested, or if you have any questions I can answer. Thanks for looking! http://i1347.photobucket.com/albums/p706/itsthatcar/0D291508-E0A5-4C37-BC94-28C8919B8605_zps19r6lkpf.jpg http://i1347.photobucket.com/albums/p706/itsthatcar/7563AA5A-8498-4B59-8C2F-870B62028B1F_zpsnqknmyrp.jpg

It'sthatcar's 2004 Sel - Charisma
it'sthatcar replied to it'sthatcar's topic in Build Up / Project Log
Thanks, it's been good to me while I've had it, for the most part. I just don't have a need for it anymore now that I've got a car that isn't costing me anything other than gas and insurance for two years. As I've mentioned, it needs some love, and hopefully a new owner will appreciate it as I have. Once it sells, I'll be paying off student loans with the funds. Who knows, once my lease is up, maybe Ford will have a new Taurus in the States.... -

Well, she's up for sale. -
My neighbor has one of those old Triumphs. He used to deliver mail in it. It's white with a black interior and black roof. It's in alright shape, but it has some rust. Too bad he just lets it sit in his garage...it's been there since we moved in 14 years ago.

If you can't find a Duratec wagon, Volvo would be my next choice. They only caution I would suggest is to stay away from the V70/XC70's that have transmission problems. I had a friend that bought one and it was in great shape but had transmission slipping and after doing some research for her, I found out that the transmissions are doomed to fail due to a lack of a filter, lifetime/difficult to service fluid, and computer software problems (the software had the car shift into neutral when stopped...). Otherwise, they're great cars. Of course, while a Duratec swap might be hard, it would be cheaper I suspect. -
No payments, indeed!
