Looking for opinions of brands of A/C compressors for the sable off rockauto.

My store just got a 2004 Sable LS Premium sedan on trade, a geriatric special with black leather and 43k miles.
-
Not looking for a new car, only an A/C compressor....
-
OReilly sells Murray aftermarket compressors. I see very few new compressors back. Remans are a whole different story. Replace the drier and orifice as well. Also, the condenser may need replacement as some cannot be flushed.
-
Sable needs a new passenger side ball joint. Looking for Brand recommendations asap. thanks in advance.

Nick and I had this discussion last night. Moog greasable ones with energy suspension grease boots

Anything that isn't super cheap. And avoid AutoZone.
-
Yes. Good luck finding the grazeable ones. Moog is pretty dang good. Just slip the boot over what is there - the Moog/OEM boot won't last.

Saturday needs to get here...

Now that the factory mods are on, its time for the aftermarket mods....

RUST DELETE???!?!?!?!
-
I wish...
-
Those are "speed holes". The Lotus mantra- simplify and add lightness.
-
Exciting things will be happening to the sable very soon!

So, rear disc brakes then.
-
I don't know what kinda factory installs adult novelty items on the hoods of cars....
-
Jaguar used to. Rolls Royce and Bentley still do.

Looking for the thread pitch on the bolts that hold the plastic muffler hanger at the back of the car. I can't find it anywhere online.

The plastic hanger where the rubber one mounts to.
-
Best bet is take the old bolt or a piece of one to a hardware store and find something similar.
-
Got the bolts today, finally...
-
I'd like to get a bigger oil filter on sable for the next oil change, I'm thinking the FLA1 is the right one for the job can anyone confirm this for me?
-
I guess Brian won't be the only one with a retrofitted Sable on here anymore...
-
Messed around with my exhaust and now its only loud at the back of the car!
-
Which energy suspension sway bar link kit fits my Sable?

For the rear.
-
Ah, well I think you need gen 3 or older brackets then. And I'm not even 100% sure there is a kit available for the rear?
-
You can order the rear brackets from shosource
If you can't find them at a wrecker.
-
What other cheap mods can I do before Carlisle?....

Oh wow, you covered all the ricer things.
He can remove the radiator to get more airflow to his engine.
-
Turn the radiator into an air intake cooler?
-
Strap dynamite to it and hit the blow up button.

My 7-spokes need new tire valves, anyone know what the replacements are?

I got replacement stems already
-
waste of money
-
Shhhhh
-
Duratec plugs gap specs?
-
Intake gaskets: Could I get ones from a Duratec Escape and still use them on my Sable?

Just checked found nothing...
-
The Upper intake manifold is slightly different IIRC, I would think the lowers are the same, its the exact same cylinder head and fuel injector layout.
-
Why would you even need different ones... Just get ones for your car. They sell them everywhere.
-
My Sable needs a front hub any tips on which brand to get? I'm leaning towards a Moog one.
