  1. WITH CURRENT FINANCES! TSOC will only be available for one more month. After that, we can't pay for hosting and the service will cease to exist.

It has been a good run, I suppose.

How much $ is hosting for another 6-12 months?

    3. TaurusKev

      TaurusKev

Hosting for a month is roughly $6. So $36 to $72. Our domain is good until June 2023. That's just $12/year.

  2.  I think Photobucket did the right thing and fixed photo hosting again. So far they seem to be loading. I hope this stays because that was a terrible move for a car community such as ours.

  3. Supercoupe is sold! :( Gonna miss it

Buy another Taurus! Or a Mustang.

  4. I think out of all the cars I've owned. The Buick's concert sound is my favorite.

  5. The more I work in IT. The more I think of work selling cars.

  6. Is anyone interested in buying a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo LS or a 1989 Ford Thunderbird SC? Or both =D Both available in stick shift!

Aveo is Sold! However... That S/C is calling your name ;)

  7. Oops.... Bought another car... Lol

  8. So the 2006 Escape Duratec leaks oil just as badly as the 02 Duratec Sable. That is weird... Thought Ford revised that after 03.

If there ain't oil under it, there ain't oil in it. 2 years Duratec ownership has taught me that.

My dad once said, "its an American car...they all leak oil".

  9. Damn rain! Have to desperately do brakes today, and it's raining... Damnit.

I had to finish my rear brakes in the parking lot at work(Oreilly's), but I pulled around back to the freight door. It's been wet here all week too. Today was nice, but it is raining out again now. I feel your pain.

  10. FINALLY! Over a month later and the insurance company finally settled on a fair value for my Oldsmobile.

I used to find those cars oddly appealing, until I saw Motorweek's road test and discovered that an automatic T-car is slower than a 2CV, of all things.

I am tempted to hit up the seller and take a peek at it... For $500... And if the claim of "surface rust" is true...

  13. Sable's Brake lines bursted... My cars are dwindling in numbers :(

They all break, in the same spot, its just a matter of time. Thank Ford for a stupid design that collects road salt.

Well, weirdly, it's fine now. My wife called me while I was at work, brake pedal went flat to the floor, wouldn't stop. It gets towed home, I get ready to drive it to the shop, it's fine. I did top off the brake fluid, I'll do a wait and see, I'm thinking it might have been a bit too low for the vehicle.

  14. Nothing like a good glass of Fireball Whiskey after work

  15. RIP, Olds :(

Thankfully... Driver of the other vehicle came clean, admitted liability to her insurance company, I did inform their company that my Olds had minimal rust for a 98, and every option worked 100% On that vehicle, then that I have rebuilt the transfer case/transmission, so they will obviously adjust from a typical 98 GMT300 to a well maintained, so even if totaled, should increase the value to give me more wiggle room. The body shop I have it at is the same that did my 95 Bird, apparently with...

... all the business I have given that shop, they're willing to work something out to get my Olds back on the road. So it most likely will live again :)

  17. Every time there is slow moving traffic on highways here, it's always a Wisconsin driver going slow in the passing/left lane.

Down here in the south..we drive slow. Ain't no reason to rush nowhere.... My 09 rarely even see's 50 mph these days and rarely over 2.5K RPM

      TaurusKev

When I am trying to go from 1 area, and drive about 40 miles to another location for work, then go back to my office which is another 30 miles, yeah, I'd like to get there as fast as possible so I can go on lunch before 4 PM. It's cool if one wants to go slow. Use the right lane :)

There have been times for work where I am not in a hurry believe it or not, and I use the right lane, and my van goes speed limit. Illinois is maybe the only state where I've been going 100,...

and still getting passed up by other drivers :P

  18. Sable's battery was flat today... Damnit. Too bad a 95's battery won't fit in the same spot.

    1. TaurusKev

      TaurusKev

It was flat after she drove it, so I changed it out at her work :)

I'm considering just reloading XP on the 14 year old desktop laying around the house and using it for one specific task, but all the regular use machines are Win10 now.

I like Win10, but my home computer I run a few things that I need to plan my reboots. On my Win10 laptop, I was working on repairing an iPhone at work, and my laptop decided to do Windows Updates with no warning, and it rebooted during working. If my PC reboots, It'll lose data in VMware, or even my SiriusXM recorder, I also use it as a data server to use as a network drive. Also used as a print server too. I did find a workaround for WinUpdates, but I would prefer to set updates to be pl...

  20. I've lived my whole life without using a "Good" weedwhacker... Used one, and now I didn't realize what I was missing.

Best one I ever used was an old Ryobi 32 or 35cc trimmer. That thing could trim grass and weeds at idle. When you gave it gas it revved up and sounded just like a chainsaw. Put some thicker string on it and you could have cut small shrubbery. It was awesome.

I used a heavy duty Craftsman, although it was a piece of s**t, it was better than my electric. Now I have my eyes on a Stihl Weedwhacker.

  21. Wow, I really hate UPS, why can't everyone just ship with USPS? It just works better with them.

    2. TaurusKev

Without a notice, they took my package from Crutchfield to a completely different location, not a UPS store, but an authorized UPS Location. Got an email "Package delivered! We hope you enjoy your new gear!" Only to find nothing at the door, the wife knows nothing, goto tracking, they changed their mind since nobody was home yesterday, and took it elsewhere at the time of when my wife was home today. So now I have to make an unexpected stop tomorrow to get my package. At least...

I hate UPS too. Because I work there. And it sucks.

  22. The mice appear to have left my garage. I have cleaned it out a bit and put a ton of chemicals down, and parked the Blue Bird in there. Seems to be alright for now.

Ain't got no bees in the garage, or rabbits, but mosquitoes are everywhere :(
