  1. There are Fits on FitFreak.net that hit 200K + miles with nothing but basic maintenance. There is even one guy with 07' Fit from Arizona. The car has 320K + miles and not a single thing went wrong with it. I loved my SHO and I'm looking for another one but I cringe every time I see just run of the mill Taurus.

  7. Nice, 720lb/ft is damn a lot. I'm surprised 10 mpgs is possible in this thing. I mean the new Raptors gets like 11.
  8. Looks pretty damn rough. I bought '94 SHO (also white) for $2K and the exterior and interior was in perfect condition. That is ~ $500 beater... $900 is too much. I bet everything that could go wrong in a SHO went bad in this thing.

    Yeah it's a Taurus. As far as the alternator goes, they go for that much used. Magnaflow goes to the junk yard unless someone wants to remove it locally. Pick up the UDP

  11. Sure buddy... 100K mile warranty for powertrain only... any modern engine/trans. should make it to 100K without major issues, specially Hondas... As far as HondaCare I bought for the Fit, it covers pretty much everything, paid $975... it can also be transferred if I ever decide to sell the car before the warranty is up.

  13. 112 In a Vucan, 125 in a 94' SHO and 90 in a Fit Sport. I know that little Honda can do about 120 but I dont want to abuse brand new car...
  14. I doubt you gonna see any engines/trann for sale. There are relatively very few of these on the roads and they were most likely stored away for Sandy...
  15. ... Says the Dodge Caliber Driver. I drive Honda Fit but I'm still big Ford guy. Sure it's normal to hate on certain car makers. But to say Honda or even Toyota makes the worst cars on the road is dumb.
  16. If you really think you can get with in 1-2 mpg of Fit mpg with a Vulcan then wow. I owned my 01' Vulcan for 4 years and did over 76K miles in it and the best mpg I ever got was somewhere in the neighborhood of 27. 30mpg in the Vulcan... maybe. If you feather the throttle and drive downhill or you get good wind pushing you behind. 2.5 Fusion has good highway mpgs but city not so good.
  17. Yeah I did. My first tank of gas yield almost 38MPG, all highway miles. 376 miles out of 10 gallon tank vs 300 ~ miles out of Vulcan with 18 gallon tank is pretty good if you ask me... As far as the power goes, its amazing they squeezed 117HP out of 1.5L . If anything, we should be laughing at Vulcan for making only 155HP with 3.0L engine.
  18. I see. Well, even if it is reliable now, it could go out in future like any transmission. And I'm sure it will cost pretty penny as its dual clutch. I don't know. As far as the room, can't complain.
  19. I did. They just don't feel the same as the Honda Fit. Fiesta is tiny too. Fit is very specious inside and you can fold the back seats which can give you a ton of room. There is also lots of issues with dual clutch trannys in the new Fords. When you buy a Honda, you know its gonna be reliable. I spend 2 hours negotiating the deal. $900 off of Invoice price and I got free 2yr/25K miles maintance. On top of it all 6 year/ 100K miles extended warranty for $975.
  20. No hard feelings bro. I hated Honda's even more. Fit the most. But then I commute 245 miles each week to work and I wanted reliable yet fun little car. I got over the Honda hate and now I love this thing lol
  21. Not sure what you mean by out turn. I raced one G4 Duratec when I had the SHO and it wasn't even race. Once I hit the secondaries I was pulling away pretty quicly. I also raced few Duratec in my Vulcan with UDP. Up to 40mph it was always very close race (less than 2 car lengths) And yeah, all the automatic use torque converters. Dual clutch is not really an automatic. More like automated manual.
  22. Tranny went out for the second time, needs new steering rack and lots more. Her next home will be a scrap yard (176K miles on the clock) . Selling the SHO chromies and UDP next week. Thanks man! Yeah you can really feel that V-Tec kick in. This little turd makes 117HP at 6,500rpm. And something like 30HP below 3,000rpm. But it weights 2,500lbs.
  23. 2013 Honda Fit Sport (automatic) Lots of getting used to but a fun little car. Feels little bit quicker than Vulcan in the top end, specially in the sport mode when using the paddle sifters . That little sucker takes corners like its on rails
