Love the ratchet hanging from the rear deck.

I know your pain, done it four times now.

Ouch. 4 times. I like having the knowledge to take a (for example) 1996 body and give it 2007 functions, or vise-versa.

Some real clean metal back there, man. Lookin' good.

No hidden damage. WT1 looks like it had a quarter panel replaced at one point in time which I believed had something to do with a unresolved popping sound in the rear strut area for years.

Finally got the rear disc conversion done. Its getting close to being complete, all that's left is to replace the front airbag sensor, new tranny fluid, add R134a refrigerant, maybe an alignment (steering feels a little 'darty' in turns) and a good cleaning inside and out.
Got the rear spear plastic off a black gen4.
Posted Image
Added a leather steering wheel. To keep it different from my other Tauri, a little chrome and woodgrain.
Posted Image
Whitetrash II is dirty. She's covered in oily handprints on every panel I replaced. Instead of putting the block heater plug in behind the Ford emblem, I just decided to mount it under the front bumper. Got too many irons in the fire.
Posted Image
I'm thinking about taking the body shell that's now left from whitetrash I and building a Taurus Ghia replica. :) Maybe.

I'll have to find out more about your Mustang. A experiment started a while back got put on the shelf and tonight I finished it up, turned out nice. Looks like the headlight is part of the bumper with a lens over it.

That looks real good, bud. I never took a real close look at the Gen3 headlights before, the way they sit in like that, kinda like a Gen4 but with a much smaller lip. Wonder, if the lip was black, how that would look? Kinda like an extension of the heaglight rubber...

I just read up on the 1st and last page of this thing, and I'm in awe. Like BEAST, to say the least. Mix and match and create, this is a nice piece of white lady, but not trash! :o wow...! Thumbs up

I can do that.

I always wondered what it would look like. Now I have a gen3 sedan with trunk space.

Got the interior back together. Woodgrain and chrome is the theme inside this one. This mimics it's '99 Sable sister with a 3rd generation woodgrain and chrome floorshift interior.
Posted Image
The only repairs left are the brakes and a windshield leak letting a little water seep in on the drivers side. The brakes are pulling to the left. I've replaced all the rubber hoses, calipers and pads today- bled all the lines with fresh fluid, it helped some but it's still pulling to the left. Both front brakes feel like they are heating up and cooling down equally. Tierods and balljoints are tight, no movement at 12 or 6 o' clock positions. Braking for the first second is straight then the whole front end moves to the left, I have to steer right to counter it. Little scary at first.

Eh, too much?

See what Sharp leather does to a thread?

Anyways, I like the black spear on the back of the SES. Very different... it grows on ya. The whole car as a matter of fact is that way. I love the interior. I am jealous of your stable of bulls.

I think I found the culprit to the braking issue. Was replacing the struts again and found some play in the right side lower control arm. In the process of replacing it now. We'll see......
