The hoodliner on my '05 is starting to tear up, and it looks pretty bad. I have the one off my 2000, and its in good shape but just looks dirty and kinda faded. Is it possible to paint them? And if so, what paint would be best for it?

I suggest getting it re-covered. The paint never comes out that great, and anything that touches the headliner will wipe the paint off the headliner and onto whatever it is touched it (Usually your head

When Devin is driving a car, he sits in the engine bay, apparently....
he's just THAT clever.
You can definitely repaint it. It takes a TON of paint though. I tried to rattle-can mine and went through a whole can and it had all just absorbed into it..... so I would get black non-flammable primer if that exists?

Devin is so tall, when he's sitting in the car, his head somehow ends up in the engine bay.

Yes, it is possible to paint your hood liner / mat. You need to clean it as best you can with as little water as possible. When I did both of mine, I used a damp rag and rubbed over the areas that were dirty. Make sure it is completely dry before painting. Then I used a bumper black spray paint, made by duplicolor. You will go through a whole can, maybe more to get a good finish on it. Once its painted, it will actually be easy to keep clean, becasue your cleaning the dirt off the paint, not the mat. As far as flamable & non flamable, it doesnt matter as long as the paint is completely dry when you put the mat back in. There are no open flames under the hood ( we hope) so you will be ok with that. This is one of those mods that will take a couple days to get done.
