Hey guys.
I just got a 03 sable ls and i have the mach speaker system in it. When i have the bass on full the front right speaker on the top of the door next to the mirror makes a loud scratching noise if i play anything with decent bass. Also does anyone what size that speaker is because i took of the cover and its not the 6x8s that are in the door and trunk its some little thing. Thanks

It sounds like your tweet blew out all right. Either that or the filter has died and is letting signals through to the tweet that it can't reproduce.
My tweets have started making squeaks and pops as well as scratching noises lately as well. I'm pretty sure mine are on the way out as I tend to listen to my music at the maximum safe listening volume. They've been beat up rather well.

Are you sure its a 2 inch tweeter because I'm looking on ebay and i can only find either 1 inch tweeters or 3 1/2 inch tweeters.
